With the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, UNESCO and the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, the International Research and Training Center for Science and Technology Strategy (CISTRAT) of the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development successfully held the 10th international training workshop from December 28, 2022 to January 17, 2023.

With the theme of "STI Policy Research and Method in Belt and Road Countries", this training provided online courses to participants on 14 topics such as climate change, science and technology finance, Global Innovation Index, science and technology evaluation system, and science and technology talent policy, etc.

The training workshop recruited international participants from science and technology management departments or research institutions of the governments of Afghanistan, India, Iran, Pakistan, Nigeria, as well as Chinese participants from the national think tank research partnership of the Ministry of Science and Technology. After the training, the participants said that the training provided a good platform, and the courses had a guiding effect on the formulation of science and technology policies in their countries. It is hoped that CISTRAT will continue to play a role in sharing China's experience and wisdom in industrial policy, policy practice and economic development.
